Fume hood

Fume hoods are an indispensable part of any laboratory. They're essential for the safety of everyone in the lab, which is why it's so important not to skimp on them.

But why choose a Satiata fume hood?

Ergonomics

The most common fume hoods on the market are designed for a length of 170 cm, which both shorter and taller people experience daily problems. Shorter people are forced to stand in the so-called "chicken wings" position, which leads to long-term neck and shoulder problems. Taller people also end up with a hunched back, which in turn leads to back problems. A common shortcut is setting the sash to the upright position, which no longer protects people from the hazards in the fume hood and also reduces the fume hood's ventilation. This all led to the development of the Ergoline-One, a height-adjustable fume hood.

2

Safety

Safety means expecting the unexpected.

NEN-EN 14175 requires fume hoods to use 6mm thick tempered glass. The Ergoline-One uses 10mm thick tempered glass, the extra-clear version. This provides analysts with extra protection in the event of an explosion, and prevents reflections from being visible from a distance.

3

Ease of use

To optimize ease of use, a transparent polycarbonate sash was chosen. Polycarbonate is highly chemically resistant and transparent. This eliminates a blind spot in the fume hood, preventing spills of chemicals and all the associated consequences.

In addition, a guide rail was implemented into the horizontal sliding glass, which is invisible to the user. This makes sliding the glass smooth and prevents excessive friction in the future.
